What you keep should stay yours.

This policy explains what Keldo handles when you use the app, the website and shared collections.

1. Who this policy covers

Keldo is built and operated by an independent developer based in India. This Privacy Policy applies to the Keldo iPhone app, its extensions, widgets, Siri and Spotlight integrations, and keldo.me. In this policy, “Keldo,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Keldo service. You can reach us at keldohq@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

Account information

When you create or use an account, we handle your email address, display name, account identifier and authentication information. If you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers give us the account information you choose to share. Keldo does not receive your Apple or Google password.

Things you save

Keldo stores the content you choose to capture, such as links, text, notes, photos, videos, screenshots, barcode values, titles, descriptions, tags, dates, reminders, extracted details and collection membership. This can include personal information visible inside a screenshot or document. A local app copy supports a responsive experience, and your signed-in library is synced with Keldo’s account storage. Sync is not a separate, permanent backup of deleted items.

Places you pin

When you choose to pin your location, Keldo records the measured coordinates, accuracy and time, with any place name or address you keep. Location access is optional and is used for that request, not continuous background tracking. Pins sync with your library. Adding a pin to a shared collection shares its coordinates and place details with that collection’s members.

Nearby-place lookup may send the saved coordinates to Apple Maps and Keldo’s backend, and to API Serpent for search when needed. Public venue information and nearby venue coordinates may be sent to OpenRouter to check relevant action links. Keldo keeps nearby suggestions separate from the measured pin. Opening a map, venue website or booking link also sends a request to that service.

Shared collection information

If you create or join a shared collection, we handle the collection name, membership, invite status, display names and copies of items added to that collection. Other active members can see and change content inside the shared collection. Your original personal capture is not exposed merely because you add a copy to a shared collection.

Support and technical information

If you contact support, we receive the information in your message. Our hosting, authentication and content-processing providers may also process ordinary service data such as request time, IP address, device or app information, and error information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

Purchases and access

Apple handles App Store payments. Keldo and RevenueCat process your app account identifier, purchase and transaction identifiers, subscription status and entitlement information to verify access, restore purchases and manage subscription features. Keldo does not receive your full payment-card details.

3. How Keldo uses information

  • Authenticate your account and keep your library synced.
  • Save, organize, search, display and export the content you choose to keep.
  • Read a public link, shared text or submitted image and extract useful structured details.
  • Automatically classify and tag saves, identify dates, populate Upcoming and schedule relevant reminders when notifications are permitted and reminders are enabled.
  • Resolve source, product and search links for quick access to related information.
  • Queue and retry content processing in the background when a service is busy or unavailable.
  • Create and maintain shared collections and invitation links.
  • Prevent abuse, protect accounts, diagnose failures and improve reliability.
  • Answer support requests and send essential service communications.

We do not use what you save for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Content reading and third-party services

Saving in Keldo can involve cloud processing; it is not an entirely on-device service. Keldo uses page information and structured metadata and may send the public link, relevant page text, submitted text, barcode context or a downscaled image to its backend and AI providers to interpret the save. Search requests can contain details derived from your content. Avoid submitting passwords, authentication codes or sensitive information you do not want processed this way.

To finish a save without keeping the app open, Keldo may temporarily store the processing request, including submitted image data, intermediate information and results in its backend queue. Request data is cleared when processing finishes or reaches a terminal failure. Stale jobs are scheduled for cleanup after seven days; this is separate from the library content you keep until you delete it.

Keldo currently relies on service providers that may process information for app functionality:

  • Supabase for authentication, database storage, media storage, server functions and real-time shared collection updates.
  • OpenRouter and selected model providers, currently including Z.ai’s GLM models and Google’s Gemini models for content classification, summaries, tags, dates and other structured details.
  • Google services when needed for Google sign-in or available YouTube information.
  • API Serpent when Keldo needs a search result to resolve useful source or action context.
  • RevenueCat for subscription and purchase-entitlement management.
  • Resend for authentication emails, including account confirmation and password reset.
  • Vercel for website hosting and delivery, including ordinary website request and security logs.
  • Google Gmail for messages you send to our support inbox.
  • Apple for platform features you choose to use, including Sign in with Apple, Siri, Spotlight, widgets, notifications and system sharing.

Linked websites and services have their own privacy practices. Keldo may retrieve a public page you ask it to read, but we do not control that page or its operator.

Our website does not currently include advertising pixels or third-party marketing analytics. Hosting providers can still process technical request information. AI-provider processing and retention are also subject to their applicable terms; this policy does not promise that every provider retains no data.

5. When information is shared

We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With the service providers listed above, as needed to operate Keldo.
  • With people you invite to or join in a shared collection.
  • When you direct Keldo to open, export or share something through another app.
  • When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect people, rights and the security of the service.
  • As part of a business reorganization, financing, acquisition or transfer, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.

Widgets, Spotlight and Siri can surface saved titles, previews and upcoming items outside Keldo. Consider who can see your screen or use your device. Shared collection invite links can expose an invitation preview and allow someone with the link to request or obtain access according to the collection’s invitation settings. Share links only with people you intend to invite.

PDF exports create a separate copy of selected saved information. Anyone you send that file to can keep or forward it. Deleting the original in Keldo does not recall exported files, screenshots or copies others have already made.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and library information while your account is active and as needed to provide Keldo. You can delete captures and collections in the app. You can also delete your account from your profile. Account deletion removes your personal library, owned collections, stored media and account from Keldo’s systems, subject to limited backups, security records or legal retention where applicable.

A copy you previously added to a shared collection owned by someone else can remain with that group without your display name after you delete your account. Information stored only by Apple, Google, a linked website or another service must be managed with that provider.

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling an App Store subscription. Manage cancellation through Apple’s subscription settings. Support messages and operational records may be retained where needed to resolve your request, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations.

7. Your choices and rights

You can edit your display name, change tags and collections, manage reminders, turn notifications off in iOS Settings, export a readable PDF and delete your account from the You tab. Camera and photo access are controlled through iOS permissions. Remove widgets or adjust iOS search and Siri settings to control where information appears. A PDF export is not a complete machine-readable account archive; contact us for a broader access or portability request. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy of your information.

To make a privacy request, email keldohq@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request belongs to your account. You may also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Keldo uses encrypted network connections, account authentication, access-control policies and private media storage controls designed to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password and protect access to your device.

9. Children

Keldo is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to an online service where they live. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

10. International processing

Keldo is operated from India. Its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Applicable transfer safeguards and provider agreements govern those transfers where required. Contact us if you need information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Legal bases where applicable

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you request, for legitimate interests in securing and maintaining the service, to meet legal obligations, or on the basis of consent where required. You can withdraw optional device permissions in iOS Settings. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out lawfully.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Keldo changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app or by email when a change is material and the law requires it.
